Astra h AC won`t start at lower blower speed

Hi, i have problem with ac in astra H, ac won`t turn on until i put blower motor to highest speed(7, it is fully automatic ac) recently blower resistor was hanged, but catalogue shows only one type,
Any ideas what can be the problem?

Sounds like motor gubbed drawing excess currant but to over cone full wack

Thermal fuse in the resistor pack.
Something is making things overheat that's why that fuse pops, you can replace it for a higher temp one but I wouldn't go too far as things can burn. Check all your heater wiring first.

Does your climate compressor has an clutch? Because the clutch is an electromagnet which gets 12V as soon you turn on your AC.

Only as long it gets its 12V the compressor is running. If it gets a bit down, than die force of the electro magnet is not enough. And your AC-Compressor just gets not turned on.

So you could check the 2 wired on top of the compressor. Attach en lightbulp or your multimeter. If you turn on the AC inside the car, than the have to be 12 V all the time.

And you should hear an relais clicking inside the fuse box. I believe, that there is maybe an unstable power supply to your compressor.

IN theory... the BLOWER which puts the air inside the car.... has nothing to do with the running ac etc. But if it working on step 7 .... it could be a voltage drop. because on step 7 its just puts the full power without resistens the the blower motor. and at this time your compressor gets its full voltage

So check the 12 V supply at the AC-Compressor and look at the ground connections. Maybe try with an additional wire just for testing from the engine block to the battery etc.

Problem was blower resistor( actually transistor based controller) it didn`t send feedback information about blower motor state(working or not), after replacing part everything works ok
