You have chosen one of the worst thing for this. It only does unsecured MCU but not sure if properly. Flash it with SDD it dont need to be done on bench at all.

They claim a lot. Read secure KVM FK72 with Hexprog and you will see.

Very unlucky to find a locked 2011. Only one I've seen was stolen from a dealership and had new module fitted when recovered.

This KVM has scratches around the lugs where you open casing so someone has been at it before. Saying that original key worked, when file was read with Autohex said files read ok but they were corrupted unfortunately

When i want to test new tool, i have to spent a little time by using the tested, safe tool to make backup.

Then next i can use new tool to test. We learn almost every days and by many way.

    Interesting...

    Assume Autohex BMW ?
Wouldn't of tried myself n kept for BMW but sure if listed then wrong of em.

I've killed 2 KVM units - one with Abrites 2015 with FK72 and another older one doing 2012 backup (my old van having key cuttings blow on to circuit).

Really recommend JLR SDD - should be the one and only tool on these unless module is locked in 2015+ modules.
Don't listen to people tell u the earlier ones are locked with MC9S12XET256

And will add XEP100 works well on these. VVDI Prog have to remove crystal - pretty sure the crap had was caused by that.
Companies r quick to sell the kit but each has pros/cons/down right bugs

Plus one more thing, recommend to everybody 14V supply. Bugger 12V

    Fixed now but another issue

Battery support put on as battery was low. Car started with original and new key working. When support taken off smoke coming from battery area and battery light on dash.

After running scan it has burnt out battery charging module. This is attached to earth battery lead. New lead and attached module £120 from dealership

Never attach support direct to battery

Live on battery and earth MUST go to body or this is the result .....
