    Default Flat spot on 2010 Ford focus

    Hi guys i have a customer who owns a 2010 focus 1-6 petrol
    every time you drive it you notice a flat spot when you speed up
    There is no codes in memory he claims its been like that since he bought it
    Anyone had anything simular

    Looking at your join date, number of posts and downloads

    going to be a tricky one to find

    can you

    1) normally drive see when does it

    2) racing start see if same point

    3) drive 1/2 mile at solid 30mph then just before speed camera
    Flat to floor what happens?

    4) drive at 50 mph again just before a speec camera then boot it
    To 80mph what happens- same flat spot?

    5) can you shake the gas pedal like a poloroid picture for as long
    As you can eg 148 miles see if logs a code

    6) can you hear pre detanation when flat spot?

    sounds like it needs a part changing

    Ok chances are airflow meter. Or map sensor
