Porsche 911 BCM Damaged

When read with VVDI prog- but now i know that when you read 2M25J and VVDI prog show you that partition is missing and can't read D flash any more ( BCM killed ) you can read D flash chosing CAS4 1N35H, file will be 32kb instead of 16kb. Than you can make new partition and write back d flash and p flash ( D flash 64 sectors, EEE 8 sectors ).

off topic but question for you .. if you have many jobs like porsche BCM and CAS4 , why you dont buy HEX PROG , safest tool to read porsche BCM, CAS modules etc...
i never touch porsche bcm because i been afraid of doing that job with vvdi prog, autel etc...

This is the video, when Hexprog has killed BCM 911 2017 first time. It sometimes wipe off the data during unlocking the chip. Always read the right flash but Data does not exist anymore. You can argue and say how many thousands you have done successfully, but this is the real fact and you may experience it one day.

A made a lot CAS4 and Porsche BCM and i don't think that HEX PROG is beter to read secured processor that other tools.
I have many other programmers and prefer to use VVDI Prog for this jobs, but this is only my opinion.

greetings, I didn't mean to argue or speak from my experience for hex prog at all. I am in the process of buying hexprog for the sake of many others for which I will serve as a programmer. I have a colleague who works regularly with porsche bcm with hexprog and he never had a problem. but as you say until once. thanks for the video and info anyway

I had and used hex prog until one year ago, then I sold it after a short time. I didn't have the opportunity to do Porsche with them, but now that my business has expanded and I have a demand for Porsche keys, I'm buying it again. hexprog most used for cas3 and cas4 reading. Now needed for porsche because my opinion is safest for porsche bcm

That is true, I used vvdi prog but it didnt work for Porsche BCM mask 2m25j so I bought hexprog and it worked perfect. Because of that I 100% don't trust VVDI Prog although it worked for every CAS4 I worked on so for CAS it's okay if you know what you doing and have soldering skills, however with Porsche you're playing with fire.

This part is most important ... big risk here with VVDI PROG in my opinion, better use "safer" tool , also less risky is when you dont need to remove any component from board

Yes it's not uncommon to hear somebody brick Porsche BCM with VVDI Prog, however most of the times it's user fault, poor soldering and desoldering skills. And last thing you want is to tell Porsche owner that he can't drive anymore...
