Nissan qashqai 2015 add key obdstar

Personally I think qashqai, rogue and x-trail are problematic. In my opinion murano, and altima are safe, at least 1st gen. upto 2014 where I think there is standard PIN code, not rolling 20 digit codes. Mine is 2012 and for now I left this job but Im in touch with customer and will come back if get any new info on this.

Customer also got chinese key without grooves on it's side. And this Murano got key slot and because his chinese key do not have grooves, the slot does not hold the key so I guess won't be easy to program though...

I think he bought key for new gen. Murano which do not have slot. I think the chip is the same? (7952?)

That has been going on for years
As they do not have a clue on any software they release nothing has been tested by them and good way to read trough forum and upload trough their sales shops.

This is the problem I hope you have a good insurance back up or a big wallet to pay the dealer this nissan
Jobs do not pay enough to take on the risk I personally do not touch them
If the ask me I tell them dealer only due to the risk good luck and hope you have learned your lesson next time before taking any jobs in this business check and double check otherwise can be a expensive repair bill.

P1et murano are not affected, old model is on 4digit pin and new is on 20digit but different bcm to famous qashqai/xtrail.

What is the chance to face bad model BCM on Qashqai - Average 1 of 2 or 1 of 10 or 1 of 100?

Best to send these qashqais to a dealer.
Even if you leave it up to the client, to take the risk.
It is not just obdstar, keep in mind that there are more obdstars around then zedfulls and Avdi units.

I've done 7 bcm's with dodgy numbers and have had no issues.
But a friend had a failure and it cost £££ to get out of.
So I've given up on them

I have a client from Qashqai 2018 to add a new key. BCM number 284B2-4CB4C. Has anyone programmed successfully?

Send them to dealer do not take the risk or could beva expensive repair as not all bcm are on the blacklist list your call.
