I have Mini with MEV17.2 ecu which I would like to update software. I have original full bmw avdi. Can I do it by avdi on bench?
I´ve never done it.

On the FVDI, you have to select the correct files from the SP-daten manually, but I have no experience with AVDI.
If you want to do it on the bench, you do need at least the junction box to convert the D-CAN to PT-CAN, and I guess you will need CAS to make AVDI detect the car.
Imho it is MUCH simpler to just upgrade this ECU in the car with WinKFP.
