Default HYUNDAI TUCSON 2016 AND 2018 DASHBOARD, DUMP FILES, EEPROM MILES TO KMH

    Hello Guys!

So I have purchased some hardware for reading writing the EEPROM via OBD in order to alter my dashboard's electronic indictaions from miles to kilometers of my car. In another thread of this forum after a lot of time googling I found a post from another member here giving the address and value to do that. Surprisingly it has worked on both models of Tucson 2016 & 2018.

however, the dash has an electronic speedometer which even though the indication of miles next to speed number has changed to kmh the speed number it self is still calculated in miles!

any ideas how to fix this?

    posting a picture below

any help is very much appreciated

    Hi,

What hardware are you using to read the EEPROM content via OBD ? Can you really edit byte by byte ?

Hello. I have used can-Coder (canhacker). I found in this forum that address 366 value F8 changes miles to km and gallons to litres.

I am assumin that it is possible to change the speedometer data too but I can't verify which data are those in my dump. I dont know how. I dont read binary or hex.
