I've tought that is something wrong with display but cant find anything. And for new display people are shurre that is OK.
That small ribbon is for display lightning , and IC401 is LED driver SC441A.
But no need to touch and open display !

Any news about this problem? I have the same one
Regards
Hallo, hast du die defekte Lötstelle gefunden.
Gruß Wolfgang
Hi I had same problem and I replaced bcp53 and this transistor and problem solved, IMG_20220707_083724.jpgIMG_20220707_083720.jpg

Hi Vince,
I also replaced BCP53 (x2) and display, but backlight doesn't work....
Do you have the reference of the 6 pins transistor that you have replaced ?
Thanks
Hello,
I replaced the 6 pins by a BC847BS 45V 100mA NPN/NPN transistor. back light works !

very thank friend solved
Where to by the transistors?
This is how i solved this. 2x bc337
Anybody got pictures of what transistor requires changed, can see both bcp53
Thanks dorinc ! I tested the original tiny 6 pin SOT363 package, double NPN transistor that was put there by the manufacturer using an ESR/transistor tester. Surprisingly enough, it read ok with the low currents fed through it by the tester. I'm not sure why the component doesn't work in the actual circuit, with actual currents and frequencies, because I did not bother to do further testing. So I was skeptical at first with going ahead with implementing your fix. Eventually I did it anyway and surprise, surprise, it worked! I used 2 x C945 NPN transistors salvaged from an old PC PSU to implement the fix because that is what I had available. I just made sure that the ECB layout of these NPN transistors are soldered correctly to the corresponding pads of the removed SOT363 transistor. Many thanks !
Of course, the easiest fix would have been replacing the 6 pin transistor with a BC847BS or something similar.

Hello Everyone!
I have the same problem on my W447. Display works but has no Backlight.
So far I have changed the two BCP53 Transistors and the SOT363 with a BC847BS transistor.
The Backlight still doesn´t work. Does anyone have any idea/experience about what should I try next?
Thank you!
check on the other side of the board the two transistors at the height of BCP53
