File worked , but when I try to code it, my scanner says “unable to code because this module is coded for another vehicle with different chassis number”

Is there a way to “renew” or make “Virgin” this file ?

What exactly did the universal repair software clear ? I see that it FF the first 32 bytes , and then several more down the line.

Excuse me ignorance, I’m still learning .

Successful reprogram and coding with bmw ista/p and ICOM . I suppose we’re supposed to read the old if you can and write to new with crash/faults cleared and fixed assuming replacement has no hardware faults
