if i'm not wrong you can code back these used ecus with avdi by obd and connecting directly over the engine can line, and you can change the vin inside. i did this on an a180 not long ago. maybe you can do the same with other instruments!!!
Hello,
I have here Mercedes w205 with faulty engine ECU.
Processor inside is faulty. If I heat up ECU the engine starts fine. After cool down engine donīt start, ECU does not respond.
ECU Delphi CRD3PLUS.A0 A6519004500 A6519014000
To solve the problem I bought an used ECU with same part numbers.
Inside the ECU I have TC1797 and external eeprom.
With Boot mode on PCMFlash I am able to read and write Flash and eeprom.
I read files on ORI ecu and write files on Used ECU. However engine donīt start.
Donīt have error codes, however I can see engine ECU has no Start authorization.
This processor TC1797 has OTP area that is not possible to write. So, maybe this is my problem...
Attached I send you flash + eeprom files for ORI and Used ECU. Also the flash file on Used ECU after writing ORI file, just to confirm it could not write OTP area.
Any idea to solve the problem ?
Anyone has a virgin file ? How to program after Virgin ECU ? I read we could program with Xentry, but needs online or no ?
Many thanks for your help. Really donīt know what to do now.

abd that all you have done on FBS4..?
this crd3 you can clone even flash by obd and eeprom by boot/bench/soldering...
try to write flash in boot and disable checksum correction in pcm sw...
no otp on this kind of ecu, as I wrote even by obd you can read full flash....

Hi
I notice in that diagram there are 2 can L pins, is this correct or should it be 1 high & 1 low? Also, I have the breakout adapter from Chiptuning shop but it does not have a cnf1 lead on it. What exactly does cnf1 require? There is a lead on my adapter which is "reset via diode". Anyone know if this is equivalent to cnf1 pls?
Many thanks
