    Default PEUGEOT 408 MED17.4.4 TC1793 CAN problem between Ecu and AT - U1308 U0100

Hello guys! I have a Peugeot 408 with MED17.4.4 and Automatic Transmission BVA_AM6_AT6_UDS. The car was crashed, original ecu burned in another workshop, original files lost, very complicated. I installed new Ecu, repair some wires. Car started with immo off, but AT is not working good. I have:
U1308 and U0100 - can communication with ecu problem
DTC are stored in the AT at all time and cant erase. Checked all the CAN line, its okey, also diagnostic is working.
Found in ECU telecoding "Manual Transmission" but cant change it because Diagbox send me online (on older cars telecoding is working for me).

I think maybe Ecu is configured for Manual Transmission and is not sending CAN data for the AT.
Is it posible to change form MT to AT by dump?? Or this is not the problem?

    Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Replace the ECU flash with a proper sw version.

This is my flash and eeprom (attached without immo off).
    The ecu is 0261S12443
Is it posible to find the flash for automatic transmission?

I manage to recover original flash from burned Ecu. Only flash, cant read eeprom (ktag error on reading)
I maded immo off to flash, cloned to the new ecu - have same DTC in AT.
So the difference must be in eeprom. And i supose all telecoding is stored in eeprom.
    Or its something else...
Will try to install another DiagBox version, maybe it can change telecoding in the ecu.

    Original flash SW: 1037555606

The ECU is too new to me and I'm lacking of the collected info. If you post Diagbox of ECU 1st page (Identification) that would help by some way.
Normally in eep are configuration (telecoding), immo, faults delete history, autoadaptive, etc.

    Flex ?

Here you go. We dont have flex in Argentina if i understand correctly.
    Pictures attached.

    Now i have:
This is replacement ecu with flash from original and eeprom from this ecu (because original eeprom is lost).
Now the car starts, cant accelerate, and stops.

Without cloning flash - just immo off the replacement ecu - car starts and engine work well, but AT is crazy.

In both cases U1308 and U0100 are stored in AT.

I understand that you still cannot change configuration of this ECU that now with original flash ? How was it, configuration not done or DiagBox just keeps leading you to online ? what is the version ?

Capture the configuration page if you can.

Exactly, with original flash, cant change configuration. Keeps leading online.
    Im using VMWare Diagbox 7.855.
If i try telecoding in BSI, it works. In Ecu, send me online.

I've made some note of the problems found with DBv7.855 (native dive installed) one year ago when working with MED17.4...

    You can try...
    - Try with another Diagbox, maybe v7.57 or v7.6x ?

    more instruction in your PM

a little note: I don't speak Spanish , some line understood automatically but some just by guess/translator.

    Just notice..

So you did immo off to the original flash too (with donor eep) to make the car start ? Then it STOP only by this flash !!.

If PSA/Bosch did not make change on the ECU data structure, to all previous MEV's and MED's flash and eep are working independently. You can just replace any of the valid flash version to the ECU without affecting eep and car running.

Seems the original flash is no good.

Hello Zmann! Really big thanks for your help. Im working on others version install - with other version (some 7.5x, not sure) i had the "homologation problem" that you mencioned. After i keep updating DiagBox and after 7.6x update i killed DiagBox, still trying to solve it.

Interesting aboout flash and eep independence. Yes, you understand correctly, car stops with original immo off flash and donor eeprom. Car runs with donor immo off flash. No much sense.

I will try DB 7.57 again (if i make it work). Also will try another immo off method from a friend.

Please confirm me by your experience if you agree with my understanding of the problem:

AT works bad -> Because no CAN from ECU ("u" dtc) -> Because Ecu telecoding is Manual AT (not sendind Can info)

Maybe im wrong and is not the problem.

Almost worked with DB 7.57. Manually select med17.4.4, manage to enter Manual Telecoding menu (after internet connection failed, it needs internet connection to fail, and only then alloud manual telecoding), change Transmission to AT6, but got "Telecoding Failed - Error 414".
After that message about "cant find homologation id", something like that.

Your post #11 I think all are about correct, including inter-ECU CAN messaging. Some other worse case, this incorrectness inhibits the starter.

It was a good sign of configuration success, you have passed phase I (my given term) but stuck at the 2nd phase.

    Thanks!
The car is 2016. DB 7.57 found the ecu as "unknown", i select manually med17.4.4 from list, but telecoding never succees.
Your fotos from homologation writing are more similar of what i have in DB 7.855, but after selecting one number it sends me to internet and dont write it.

DB 7.58 and DB 7.60 send me to internet directly.
Will keep trying and write about any progress.
