Default Focus TDCI 2006 - non start.

Hi guys limited information on this one!

On way home tonight got collered by some geezer in an '06 focus tdci
thing, he had basically just ran over an Aaardvark or Sloath or something
whatever it was he had sold the thing to a passing butcher before i went past.

Non start, immo o/e led flashing fast, leave it for a minetute and it then flashes "16"

Tried to scan the OBD socket with a "Swiss Army Knive with built in OBD scanner" But no communication with anything, add to make thinks worse the 'Snow Shovel' out of the "SAK-OBD" has started to corroded after all that snow last week, bastard thing.

Sadly was too desprate to get the "SAK-OBD" should have waited
untill the one with the A*** D*** (SAK-OBD-A*) was available!

So unable to see if "16 flashes" means anythings

    Airbag light goes out.

Going out to night (see a man about some Aadvark Burgers.)

    cheers guys
    Meaty

Hi this is the flash codes for earlier cars, not sure it applies to later cars.

The engine does not start and LED remains off. 1. Check PATS system fuses 2. If alarm is fitted check if LED functions for alarm: if not check cigar lighter fuse (also used for LED)

    3. If not go to main dealer

Engine does not start: LED flashes rapidly Leave ignition on until the LED starts to flash a 2 digit code: (sequence- pause-sequence) Check the following codes:

    Code flashes:
1:3 Key code not received. Is key screened by other keys or objects? Try different key: if okay then first key is faulty. If not go to main dealer

1:4 Partial code only received. Try again. If not okay use different key. If not go to main dealer

1:5 Key not programmed into PATS. Program key as above using master

1:6 Faulty link between PATS module and EECV Go to main dealer

14 - partial key code received (faulty or obscured key)
15 - key not programmed into immo module (reprogram or try different key)
16 - faulty link between immo module and ECU (wiring fault)
21 - less than three keys programmed (program more keys as necessary)
22 - ROM error - no ECU ID stored (duff ECU)
23 - ECU ID mismatch (duff ECU)
31 - code transmission error between immo control unit and ECU (wiring or ECU programming error)
32 - ECU/immo control unit comms - no response from ECU (wiring, immo control module)

The car equiped OBD II CANBUS.
Does "Swiss Army Knive with built in OBD scanner" CANBUS compatible?

    Wow thanks guys.

Cristec well "Alton Towers - where wounders never cease"

    The butcher said two things

    1) Addvark meat 3/6 per pound like it or go elsewhere
    2) (Apparantly) the ecu has been dragged a small amount on the road, and has 'surface' damage but the butcher said it's looks like you have to open it like an armadillo, peal the case back, hard on the outside, soft on the inside.

Oh under bonnet fuses all ok, will check under dash fuses later today
using a test probe - S-A-K-OBD doesn't have test light feature enable on it.

Not able to use the crystal ball, too new for it.

jihyu Yes knife is canbus compatable, powers up, but won't read anything, abs airbag etc

Thanks guys will try and look at it before dinner to give you an update.

Will check what cristec says 1-6 wiring!

    Thanks

    UPDATE:

We fished it out the ditch today (think it must have 'slipped') so it was
a recovery charge and a RTA charge for the customer.

Sadly was unable to get away with his radio for experimental purposes http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...lutions-57094/

Got it back to M-H-M and wiring test ok.

On closer inspection of the engine ecu reveiled you had to prise it open
like a bannana. So to avoid braking any warranty seals, we simply
cut the ecu in half with a band saw. Inside it was full of pig (aadvard? sloth?) piss that rotted the circuit board.

Having no ford isd we have to refer this to Meat-Headshire Ford

    Thanks for your input.
