    Default renault fault help

    var wont start i got this code p0606 pcm processor fault any one know what this means and what i do about it apart from dealer i have motor experiance thanks in advance

    Processor is defect. Replacement is needed ECU (PCM) .

    I agree. Processor defective. You need a replacement ecu.

    Check that there is power & earth at the multi-connector to the ecu first. I just had the same issue with an Espace. What are you using to scan with & what model is this?
    You could try Alan at ECU REPAIRS / ECU DECODES he may be able to fix it.
    Otherwise you will need ecu, uch, & im-o transponder if you go second hand. Or program the ecu to virgin if you are into that sort of thing. Then you may need to prog the mileage if the used parts come from a car with more miles. It is all vehicle dependent.

    Hi
    If you cannot see even ecu with canclip it can be wiring fault.
    Normally if key is good uch will still be happy to switch off immo light on dash (Clio2).
    If can get in on ecu. Open up ecu and check for water damage.
    Wash out any corrosion with alcohol.
    Test , But also check for any component that lost some smoke.
