    Default timeshift recording

i have been trying this and it seems to work great on jade image. but a question i have from my mrs which i have tried but not suceeded yet
If she is watching corrie which starts at say 7:30 and pauses it for say 10 mins, when she restarts it it is due to finish at 8:10. But at 8:00 eastenders starts and she wants to watch it straight after the recording of corrie finishes

Is it possible to to switch the recording to another channel which is on another transponder so she can watch both programms straight after one another.
I hope you get the jist of what i'm after

i dont see any reason why it wont work if you set you timer to record the 2 different progs.
ahhhh just seen that you want to record 2 at the same time for 10 mins, so then the answer is no unless you have a box with 2 tuners.

The 600 only got 1 tuner, you need a 7*** series Dreambox to do that. The Sky+ box is the same 2 tuners.

Sorry for bumping such an old thread but I'm curious about this. Why would you need 2 tuners to watch a recorded program and record a program at the same time?

If you set the recording of ITV from 7.30-8pm and set the bbc1 recording from 8-8.30pm why would you need 2 tuners?

The real question is whether you can record & playback at the same time.

Will need to give it a go

Works fine, I recorded 5 mins of a program. Straight after I switched to a different program and started recording it. I then went straight onto my recordings and started playing the first. Once it was finished I moved onto the second, no issues at all.

    A 2nd tuner would mean I could, theoretically, record 2 programs while watching a 3rd, ala V+.
