Most table adapters are 12 volts. You've never been wrong ?????? I do not want to argue. I tried to help. I'm leaving the topic.

I was just doing tests to read a 3K91D and since I was lacking VFP power I thought I should power the programmer and by mistake I plugged in the 12v one and burned that transistor.

Now I have installed the 7805 and so I use the 12v power supply.

Haha! I did that too. And a friend of mine said the same: Didn't you see 5V written on the box?
As you, my power source is 12V as a daily use.
    My Q2 is E5FAH that I blown.
