Thanks Amine13. I already have that upa-usb pdf file. There is a tread about making your own adapters somewere on forum but since I got this adapter I was curious if someone has it,and if it is easier to work with this one rather than using the DIY adapter described by you. Anyway anybody got an idea about the 10 pins sticking out of this board? I have seen some ready made eeprom soic/clip adapters on ebay that are already wired and they have just the connector that will fit on top of that adapter.

You can do it easily, all you have to do is to save the colors leads and their correspondance with RS232 female terminal; for example, the one I have is :
    1: Black
    2: brown...
I will try to upload some photos of the components you need to make an adapter from UPA ready to hold the eeprom directly.
Just start, and all come itself!!!!!!!

As promised here are some photos, all the components are availlable, you can find them easily, maybe for SOP8 adapter, you can get it through internet for less About 1500 Da ( 15?).
Sorry for the colors affectation, is in french. Then you can make just two cables with that, and when you need swiotch from SPI, I2C to Microwire, just unplug SOP8 adapter and put it on the other cable
    Best Regards.

Thanks Amine13. I ordered some 8 pin eeprom clip soic,it seems everybody is using them here and will make own leads using the cable you have on pictures. Now back to my adapter ) I managed to find one 24C04 wich successfully read and program and one 24C02 that I mounted on adapter printed pads and secured with a clip my mum uses to hang clothes after washing ) it needed a little extra pressure on the clip to achieve good contact with adapter pads and after that...... read and program successful!! No need to solder then. I've had some good times playing with this adapter. It seems it can be used safely to read and program. Didn't had other eeproms to test so only this two been tested with.

    hi,

Does anyone managed to pay for UPA at share-it with paypal ?

When I suppose to be redirected to paypal website, just get message that order is delayed and nothing happens.

Share-it support is not helpful they just suggest to match billing email with paypal account email, but doesn't help either.

Why the hell don't they just supply you a login with the device, I am waiting for mine to be delivered, and from the sounds off it, even when it does turn up I might have to wait another week for login, just so I can use it.

Seems to me by reading hundreds of posts that the hardware is good, but apart from that everything else sucks!

If UPA programmer is original, write e-mail to support@elrasoft.com.
If serial number of device is ok, you will get username/password to log in. This version of software (1.3.0.14) have to be activated anyway in Elrasoft...
