    Default Toyota Hilux DTC p1264( Vn Turbo ) UNTREATABLE

    Hello friends, has anyone ever encountered this problem on toyotas. It leads to loss of power and when I inspect the wirings everything is okay. I replaced turbodrivers but no luck

    There is a small black cylinder pn the turbo assembly. This is the turbo controller/actuator. You should be able to hear this unit go through a self test when the key is turned on/off. The actuation rod will go through full range of motion during test. you can unplug actuator, (code will appear) and test drive to see if there is any power loss/change. if NO change then actuator is not working and turbo at fixed position.
    The most common faults with 1KD-FTV engines are;
    turbo & turbo actuator
    injectors
    EGR system
    intake system carbon blockages.
