I finally got the TSSOP14 adapter so I made a tester for all three IC circuits. Since two inputs are required, I used two buttons to connect to ground to give a low level state while not pressed is a high level state. I connected the LEDs to each output of the logic circuit and I can see the output state exactly. If some output does not match the logic tables of the 74HC IC circuit we can easily see which circuit is incorrect. The scheme is simple by connecting all the inputs in parallel to the buttons and the outputs are all on LEDs. I bring a 5V power supply and testing can begin.
You can see what it looks like in the pictures, and I made a video, but the explanations are not in English.

Hi all,
I want test this ECU on bench. I have the pinout:
1,4 -> +12V
17 -> GND
14,20 -> output
25 -> PWM input.
Someone knows the best frequency range to test this ECU?
I see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVhb...l=SvenRoosvald
Thank you
Try from 30hz to 500hz. It will not happen anything if you test it from 1hz to 1kz, but to be safe, start from arround 30hz
I thought all these y17dt went to scrap. Are history...
Yes. That is why you need to put a 1kohm resistor series wit a LED on the return signal from the EDU i.o. to see if edu will communicate to ecu on the car. Look in Autodata and you will se those 2 pins from ecu to edu. One is a signal out from ecu to edu and the other one is reverse... the feedback signal from edu to ecu.
Thanks for sharing, lovely content
Hi! I have one of these modules not working. I resoldered all and done some bridges that usually solve common problems but still the same. What components usually fail and how to check it on bench?
also different reference numbers can be exchanged?
Another experience..... Checked all the elements on the circuit board and everything is correct. I wasted days checking two or three EDU computers. It doesn't work, it doesn't work...
One day I sit down and solve them all quickly and easily. I checked all the fine lines. And if they look visually correct, by checking the conductivity. Imagine there was no conduction. All thin lines next to large solder points where the voltage and frequency are high. Damage to thin lines is possible. Or mechanical interruptions during unprofessional desoldering of components.....

if someone changes the 7809 then for correct low dropuot type - if the car starts and the voltage on the battery falls to 9-10V then the cheap 7809 has not enought input voltage ( in some cases with bad joints to 1500uF Capacitor its more often )
i changed 50+ LDO for LM2940-8.0 lov dropout and the units newer returned.
i have repaired or remanufactured 1000+ EDUs
