    Default question bmw f10 display cid

    hello guys
    i have bmw f10 year 2012 . my display is broken , i want to replace the display, my question is, should i found display with same part number and programming? or doesn't matter part numbers and no need programming just plug and play? ( is installed the maps on the display module behind the display? )

    It's a bit late but anyway...Replace with same part # or newer (check build date on unit) and code. It is plug and play but depending of options, some stuff will be showed but greyout or will not show at all. That why it is better to code. A older (than your car) unit will work but you won't be able to program it and coding might become challenging.
