Never, ever... make any checksum with WinOls on EDC16 and EDC17...

It's good that you went to explain, but tell us what was the problem? I am confused. All modifications that I did had automatically calculated checksums from the WinOls (All CS ok) and I had no problems...

The problem was, that the Galletto and Ktag (both clone, in boot mode) tells, that can't calculate the checksum of his file and didn't let him to flash. Originally Posted by SoftDev

I'm sorry but I'm already totally confused.
You first say - the tool will correct it, while writing the new file!
Then - Galletto and Ktag can't calculate the checksum of his file and didn't let him to flash.
And another one:

Then - I made same file with WinOls with restored checkum blocks to original - job done.
As you say above - Why you don't tell us the truth?!?

Almost all tools make checksum (KTAG,KESS,Magpro,FLEX, Galleto) but there is also some bugs sometimes and tool doesnt make cks ( I had situation with flex ON psa edc17c10/60, it doesnt make cks). There is Ioterminal that reads FULL by obd and that tool doesnt make cks. I use ktag org with years and never had problem with cks.
About winols. I use Winols for editing files and usually i calculate checksum and never have problem (EDC15,16,17, Siemens Sid... Denso ) and its okey
like i said there is some ecus or software versions that tools doesnt calculate checksum good, but u can do it by winols

With his file, with corrected checksum with the last winols - Galletto tells, that can calculate the ~~~~ing checksum and don't let to flash!
This file was already made with 2.24 and the checksum was corrected, but the last winols said, that is not correct... and correct it...
Non of the two files was accepted from Galletto.
Same file, with restored checksum blocks to original (original file, extracted from SGO) - Galleto flash it!
