Can i swapp eeprom, or make used part Virgin?

Banging the steering lock with a hammer, allowed the system to work at Times.

I have met some corrosion inside the BSI, on these earlier.
    Making BSI go nuts.

Owner did want to spend any money.
So i will wait for him to decide, when and what to swapp.
It would be a shame to swapp the steeringlock esl, if it truns out to be the bsi.
They car starts know, but the steeringlock does not lock, after removing key.

I tell them, to take the bsi out, check connectors, and print.

Incase they want me to swapp esl, is there a eeprom inside?

    Thank you
