    Default Land rover defender 2015 2 button smart key

    Hi guys,
    What is the process for program this key?
    (Spare key)
    Same as the 5 button RR key?
    Have to remove the kvm and do it on bench?

    if the KVM is not locked you can do it by OBD

    if is locked depend on your tools

    It does not have any KVM. It is full OBD and china tools dont like it.

    I have done lots of RR on bench but never 2 button smart for defender.
    So it is not kvm/bench job.
    Can you help me what tool can do it?
    Safety...

    Nanocom over priced for what it can do due to the licence they have there must be other tools doing these .

    The 'ALM' is identical looking BCM to 10-AS in same location.
    Far know only sdd does these.


    And don't loose all fobs as no EKA and no comms -ie replace unit

    Looks like Smart pro can program remotes and on their app nothing about that must have one working remote

    I tried Smart Pro and was unsuccessful at doing comms with 1 key let alone non.
    This was few months back.

    On this Defender AKL I had no comms with SDD and main-dealer (plus other sources) suggest replacement unit. No EKA even tho car's manual says so

    Interestingly on opening the ALM unit - it has 2 processors and the 1 i could read mades sense as the general control part. It had copyright 1995 reference asci So doubt comms changed too much indeed what can gather you might even be able to still use old rover plips (hearsay!)

    Do you have any pictures of unit/pcb? On which mcu they are based?
