Default winols - how to use a2l and .hex files?

ok so i got a question, and as i saw im not the only one, so this post might help some other forum members longterm.
the question is that i have my ecu file, and one felow member gave me damos for it,(a2l and .hex files) so he sayd drop .hex and then a2l. aight i did it, now i have hex file with all the maps found, like everything looks fine, maps doesnt include random numbers and so on, so the question is, how i use that hex +a2l files to find maps in my original car file? for example if im looking for ignition at part throtle, do i gotta look it up how it looks on that "damo" and then go and based on what it looked like in hex, example 6x10 , so ill look for simluar map in my original? or it all works diferent? crazy thing is i seem to cant find any info bout this, there where couple people on other forums that have had same question, but some toxic members kept making fun of them..

    thanks in advance

thank you for your reply, but when person gave me the a2l file and .hex file, hex file is like 0.3mb and my original file is 1mb, a2l does not work with my ori file, and for sure i cant upload the modified hex to my car, it sounds like really bad idea. so the question is ok, person gave me a2l and hex, and he sayd that its damos for my car, if i edit the hex, for sure i cant whrite it? but then how do i edit my original file when a2l doesnt fit my file, or its not even suposed to. its kind of question im not the only one that has it, but just cant wrap my head around how to explain problem im having, thats the reason people were being made fun of in other forums for this kind of question, but i hope someone would help me haha, its just simple question holding me back.

    regards

the hex file is not for any car
they are just info files for you to see what each mpa etc in the original files are called (for human to undersatnd)
load your original into winols too and then mod that
