Default 19.2V NIMH battery rebiuld with 18650?

    Hi all.
I have 14 years old impact gun Ingersoll Rand - absolutely brilliant and powerfull - and batteries are dead obviosuly. Seen some YT videos and decided go for it. I have many 18650 batteries kicking around and easiest way would be connect 5 in series, 5S BMS on top - job done... But! Can I put in another slot of 5 in series, (plenty space inside housing) another 5S BMS on top and connect both units paralel? Is it good idea, or is out there somwhere better way?

    I like these projects
I did rebuild a lot of older machines and replaced them with the newer 18650 battery type.

I use the battery's of dead laptop battery's and test the capacity and re-use them into other equipment.
This is a cheap way to bring new life to older equipment.
