    Default Audi A4 2006 8E0 remote problem

    Hello dk members,
I have an issue with a few Audi A4 cars that use 8E0 remotes.
Customer asked for a new remote key and I programmed a new one. All worked well, both keys tested and work nicely. After a week one customer returned and his ORIGINAL remote stopped working. It works, there is 433mhz and battery is new but when I try reprogramming with VCDS, car does not recognize the key. New one gets recognized easily. Its as if original got corrupted somehow.
This same situation happened to 2 more customers.
Have you guys had these problems as well or am I having really random yet same thing happen to my 3 customers?

So it has nothing to do with new remote?
It happened in a very strange order. All of old ones die soon after coding new ones, at least thats what happened to me.
    Thanks for sharing your insight

By 'new' you mean new genuine, new aftermarket or genuine second hand?

Only this week, I've replaced 3 faulty remotes. Aftermarket works good, didn't have returns.

    I used new aftermarket ones.
This pretty much sums everything up. Original ones die on their own much more often than I thought.
    Thanks P1et.

    Did you try this?
It should be written in the system already.
So it probably only a sync problem.

Ye I did, but did not solve the issue. It doesn't even get recognized during coding with VCDS. It simply got corrupted or something idk and it happens way more often than I thought it does. Thats why I asked for your peoples opinion and now I see it happens to everyone too.

Those remotes fails A LOT. I have no idea what exactly is the problem but what happens with them to stop being recognized but it is what it is.
