Connects to the diagnostic device?
Hi guys, long story short
I’ve got an corsa d 1.3 2008 Z13DTJ ecu water damaged.
Is there any possibility to change all kit (BCM, ECM, cluster , airbag ecu) with a different ECU kit? My one it’s an Magneti Marelli and the other one it’s a Bosch. I think the Bosch kit came from the same year corsa d but A13DTC engine..
Thanks
Connects to the diagnostic device?
No... eeprom on original ECU missing
You have to buy the same and program the Z13DTJ Opcom
And there is communication with the car at all, because it should be without an ECU with everything except the engine
I just don’t understand... I’m not after swapping the ECU, I want to change everything from another working car (bcm, ecm , airbag module, keys, ignition, etc..) why do I need to program anything???
You need to buy a magneti marelli set as it was with the engine code you had
This is what I’m trying to understand, why I need to put exactly the same set?? What exactly will not work??
You have read this driver once, because you see a resistor that you desolder before reading, it can be in four different places and the car will not start because this is how the installation is done and then there is a different engine power
Mate, I’m not about to desolder any resistor and not do any readings ...
I’m just about to CHANGE all components forming the immo system (ecu, bcm, airbag ecu, key, barrel, lock) from another running car...
then do as said otherwise replace engine too for the same engine that the kit uses
Hi prodbecks,
You need a matching ECU, your is 13DTJ engine & you get a kit off say, 13DT you may not have 100% running car.
There are many differences between engine components & the ECU itself depending variant.
The Bosch kit no good you have Magneti Marelli (Engine code Z13DTJ) & not A13DTC <---Different variant, system.
Hope that helps you understand better.
However this ECU is vary easily repaired from water damage, I have never failed yet with this ECU.

depends on the extent of the damage
Tanks for the info bendy, unfortunately my ecu has no eeprom chip at all, it was missing so no chance to repair it...
eprom you can replace with a new one then program it to car
