2017 mini key fob with comfort access stopped working

Hi
Can anyone help me out please.

Got a mini 2017 convertible with comfort access.

1st fob stopped working - i guess battery in fob needed replacing.
So i put aside and started to use my spare key.
6 months later that stopped working so i replaced the battery and nothing.

The car starts by placing the fob against the steering and the car starts.

So my question is are both my fobs fobs out of sync? not working on the buttons.

I cant find any info on sync the fobs as its keyless.

Did you replace the battery ?
did you fit the battery properly ?
Did you check the friquency with key tool?
What tools do you have ?

Hi, yes battery replaced correctly. Not had a chance to check the frequency of fob. That will be the next job when i get the car back.

There is no "sync" procedure, the key should just work. And the frequency will not suddenly change.
The Mini keys are very picky when it comes to batteries. Just make sure you buy a decent brand.

The tire pressure monitorong works on the same frequency and antenna and is usually much more picky than the comfort access. So if you can read out the tire pressure the receiver is fine and the problem is with the key battery.
