This ECU has TPROT so Ori will work but mod wont with Kess clone
Hi,
So there is an ECU from a Peugeot 508 1.6 e-HDI
Continental SID807
HW: 9663241480
SW: 9666681180
First of all I successfully read this ECU via KTAG clone, didnt get any errors.
As I saw KESS does not support the reading but supports the writing via OBD by protocol 379. I had doubts about it, but gave it a try. After that, happened that I was afraid of. At the end of the writing KESS said "an error has occured while writing." and "checksum error writing buffer" The car had remained many lights and was not able to start. So I tried the recovery function by KESS, selected the original file, KESS wrote it back and the car is started again. So I think KESS is able to write it via OBD. Maybe the problem is my modi file? Can someone check it?
I use WINOLS just touched the IQ, Turbo, TQ limiters. According to WINOLS the checksum is ok.
Should I write it with ktag?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. In the future how can I check if an ECU has Tprot? My car has EDC17cp02 ecu, kess and ktag also warned me it may have tprot, so I knew I can only operate with ktag, but in this case I didnt get any warnings.
So today I made the writing process via KTAG. Didn't get any errors or warning messages. Just wrote the Micro (maps) and the car did the same, so wasnt able to start. Before the writing I made two backup just to test the communication, compared them and matched. So I was able to read, able to write, but something still not working.
What can be the problem? I've ran out of ideas. If someone can point to the solution I'm willing to pay for it.
which version of ksuite do you use?

KTAG
HW: 7.020
SW: 2.25
Write the original file back with ktag without problem, and the car starts. So probably the problem is my file. But what can be the problem?

Thanks again. I do not have the latest WINOLS version and so the OLS818.dll also not the latest version. When I import the file the WINOLS recognises it has SIEMENS TRICORE checksum but with the original file immediately find 1 checksum problem. When the ECU info window comes in and asks for the ECU build I do not have the SID807 option. Can it be the problem that WINOLS not correctly calculate the checksum and thats why the car can not start if I write the ECU?
I don't know if ktag write the csk in this ecu but, if yes let ktag make the checksum.
It is better to arrive 10 minutes early, than to be bored all the way.
Im not sure too ktag does it. So if someone can check/correct me the checksum I'm willing to pay for it. Stuck with it and have no more ideas.
Yes KTAG 7.020 clone does checksum on 807EVO and CP02

Pinotec pointed to the exact solution and he was very helpful. Thank him again.
