Scania EMD1 can be read as EMS S8

Hello,
here is a tips how to read a Scania Motorola EMS EMD1. Basically it's a rework of Continental EMS S8 - PCB has same overview and MCU the same too.
So if you don't have a new tool, just use something like well-known K Tag 7020 with EMS S8 driver.
PCB covered by semi-transparent gel, so you should be careful to clean a proper place and connect a wires.
Reading is correct, but checksum is different, so for writing of modified file you should use another tool (PCM flash) or write a file with corrected checksum.


For most of editors checksum was unavailable, but last week we have a cooperation with EVC, and they have update OLS278 checksum DLL.


Also want to tell that have test all kinds of software changes for all Scania ECUs S6-S7-S8-EMD1 - factory power versions, tuning, SCR, DPF, EGR etc.
