    Default Micra 04 cluster needles not sitting right

    opened my cluster to try and correct mileage put back together but when i switch ignition on the needles shoot up fuel gauge goes to max tacho and speedo go up about a qaurter, can anybody help please

    you might have corrupted the eeprom mate, did you mark them before you took em off?

    soldering from the backside of tacho - or did you remove needles complete to clip eeprom ?

    if you removed needles try this:

    remove needles again, fit tacho into the car without glass and needles, turn ignition on - start engine - and drive to gas-station an refuel. Then you put needles back - knowing that fuel is max, knowing that temperatur is middle.

    i tried to read from back first but did not work than i took eprom off reprogramed chip with new value the new value shows has changed but rave counter stoped working working plus no speedo patrol guage goes all the way to max.

    micra tacho needles only able to put in right position - with tacho in car (without cover) - and with engine started, and best with refueld tank.

    themp. needle in middle position, (if engine is still worm, otherwise drive 5 minutes)

    RPM needle in 700-800 rpm position,

    speedo in 0 Km position,

    fuel in max position (if full).

    then engine off - ignition again on - and you will see:
    all is good.
