Default 2003 Audi A6 no start

So this might be long winded but ill try to keep it short... So I get in the car push the clutch in turn the key on all the light in the dash light up as normal. I turn the key to the start position and nothing the lights in the dash doesn't dim to indicate voltage drop. the starter relay is clicking but that's it... I crawled under the car to try and cross starter and you can barely see the starter more less get to it.... and help on what I can try to help diagnose issue..

    Thanks Mark

You have to lift the car to access the starter motor. You could start the engine by pushing the car

I found that the start relay was had voltage and was working correctly so I took the alternator out of the way and test at the starter and found that it was getting 12.8 volts on the main line and 12.8 volts to the start wire in the solenoid hit starter a few times and it tried to turn but then stopped so I took starter out

No crank and the problem was the starter ... pulled the starter replaced the bushing, brushes, and the solenoid switch and all is well now ...
