Got a TT730 and trying to put new maps on it....

The problem I'm having, is that the current maps on the TT are 800.1727 at 1.77gb while the 845.2647 maps are 1.91gb.

When I try and copy them over, there is not enough room on the TT.

    Suggestions?

Should I just go buy a 4gb card to put into the TT and move everything to there?

What does that do performance wise?

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

Found a 2 gig sd card laying around, installed the maps on it... ran the easyusetools, and got the new maps on it to work.....

What did we all do before the Internet?

Probably will go buy a 4-8 gig sdhc card and use that in the future....

    Default TomTom GO530

Hi everyone, i have the TT GO530, it has already UK & IRL maps in it, it also has a memory card slot.
I really want to have the Spain maps so my question is:
can i just download the spain maps and have them on a SD card, then insert it whenever i go to spain?
also, all the links on the first post for the maps are invalid, are there any fresh links for the download?
and finally, is it an easy job cause i am not an expert in TT maps downloads,
thanks for your patience and your help

yes u can download ur spain maps to ur card ,,then goto change preferences on tt menu then go to manage maps then just switch maps........u can find links for the lastest maps on the other sticky tomtom maps series 4.....it s a easy job to do but u ve got to mess around with it for a bit ,....albert s easy activator has made it much much easier....the important thing is to back up ur tomtom files and folders (root of tt) to ur desktop then if u mess up u can just reinstall ...so no worries ....have a read thro the other red sticky ..there s a video tut in there ....if u get stuck just cumm bac n ask

You will need to put a navcore on your SD card too, for the map to run. It supersedes the navcore on the internal memory. And then you would need to crack the map for YOUR device.
Good luck, get reading.. it ain't hard
