Default Best tool cas4 reading on bench

Hi, need to do a bmw x3 2012 with cas4 module. Now i know by obd it is a risky job.

To do it with less risk wanna do it on bench. I got the vvdi prog, but still risky bcs need to remove components. Does anyone know a tool that read on bench with no components te remove. Thanks

    Hexprog or Hextag from Microtronik
If it's AKL you also need Ecu ISN

Hello, I did not buy this apparatus, but there is no need, you do not need to remove any capacitor in the vvdi prog connection diagram.

Hi musti, in the vvdi prog you can find 2 diagrams (5m48h) where you dont have to remove anything. Is this always? I dont have done any cas4 before.

they say u dont need to remove any anything but reality is different ...

I also advice you to buy HEXTAG/HEXPROG for reading CAS4 modul from.

Just read vvdi prog manual. It say if can't crack MCU, then need to remove 1 resistor. So it does not always work without removing. When I do such work, I always remove that resistor before trying.

Remember your voltage must be over 13volt to get the “Cas” to wake up. So your power source is best tool to get to read mode.
