Default w211 dash renew / teach in troubles

Hi all. Iīd like to teach in a 2007 cluster to my 2004 E-Class. I did it before with clusters 2005 or older. What I did was FF the first 4 lines of the eeprom (desolder, solder) and use initial startup in DAS. DAS would ask me for Modelyear and then go through all the options.
Now the 2007 cluster has a 24c32 eeprom. I did the same approach witt FFīing the first four lines. But DAS will only let me SCN code this cluster. Well ... thatīs not good of course. What am I missing? Someone told me FF is the wrong appraoch. What else could it be? Do I need to get SSID from EIS and put that in eeprom position 40-43? Does the old car even care about SSID in cluster?
At first attempt I was able to get cluster and car married und pulled correct mileage. But since I canīt get into a base setup anywhere in DAS I canīt get rid of the Distronic, which I donīt have. So cruise control is broken at this point (it does work, but wonīt show segments).

    Any ideas?
    Cheers

The way I have done it is to use das to swap old to new dash and went from lo-line dash to hi-line and then just had to go into dash and alter settings. I have a couple of bits I haven't managed as my das is in German so haven't found the right menus yet. The new dash hadn't been virginised either so it did ask me to set it up via scn so ignored that but if you want people will sell scn access so you can do it properly.

Thanks for your input. Iīve tried the approach via Copy and Replace control uniz and after DAS started to write the data to the new dash it threw some error and aborted. But it must have confused everthing else enough to let me do a normal teach in via Inbetriebnahme.
Not sure what ulitmately was the culprit. Still hoping to find an explanation, but hey, dash with AMG works and Iīm happy.
