Smart 450 not open IR receptor or SAM problem

I got here one smart 450 fro 2002 , that got IR keys ZEE
Last time the car stops , the side ligths blink a few times , I program the keys again " infra red " and now car stops again but not blink the side ligths .

In Sam I got this dtc
b1052 received radio remote control key code is outside detection range
b1005 general internal control unit timming fault
Any idea ?

smart key is not iR is radio ... an have no transponder if battery is low no start ...change battery or buy used key ..and program to car

Really very rare...
There are keys based on 450, with infrared code option V25...
As far as I know for the Japanese market...

I had never case to repair it, but I know that it exist...

First of all check your key...
If all is working by smartphone...

Yes I check all that before , and I have worked on the car 1 month ago" Re-sync all keys again" , but at that time turn lights blink some times and the doors not work , or unlock immo function
Now dont do nothing ,
Is there any way to read the MCU in circuit, because some one have read it before , it got that glue squeeze in some legs of the MCU and PCB

Yes, you can read it in circuit...
You have pinout on smok sw...
But need lift legs...
It's easier to solder mcu down and read by adapter...

Wow. I never heard of IR remote on Smart.

Any more info about it? I really can't make sense of that on a 2002 because for sure they were radio before and after that.

really rare, check VIN and if V25 is present as add option then yes...
also if have ori thief system, a very rare add option...

In spain, when this car appears, a lot times this cars once stopped cant be on another time because nears police station they have have systems to off RF signals.

Then smart offer install ir system to work good here (paying of course) so here are a lot smart 450 with this ir system

I changed in two times ir reciver because was broken. Here cost around 80€
