The chip is a soic 35080. This does not need changing.. you need to solder on the back of the dash... Will upload a pic for you when i find it...

i want to know if i can do with the digimaster ii the e39 bmw x5 2002?
and how do i do that with the digi?
when i connect the wiries it is only let me to go up! not to write lower... what i need to do?

If you are not able to ajust for the value you need, send me dump and I will correct it for you.
Please, let me know if it uses the 35080V6 or the normal one.

ok i did try to do it the normal way yesturday..
now the cluster show 999999!
i try to roll it foword with the diagnose mode, but its not going to 0!
what to do now?maybe if i will do the ews and the lcm it will correct it aotomatic?
remember it is hw25 sw21

do a search the info is on this forum,if you have a 35080v6 chip you need to replace it,buy 35080v3 this will allow you to put mileage lower
I did a 2003 x5 and didnt replace the 35080
Just solded 5 or 6 wires to the back of the dash and editthe value i
wanted and job done
