Hi, guys. I find you forum very interesting. I am specialized in Peugeot repairs so please feel free to ask any questions about any faults or problems that you find on your PP2000 or other diagnose tools. Been working over 3 years on these cars, so any new problems are welcome.
Keep up the good work!
Alex

hey alex, you could be my lifeline, been doing a lot of searching regarding the paf filter on a pug 307 2.0hdi, do you know much about these things servicing and stuff cleaning etc, thx paulyd2k
please give me your VIN so I can trace the wiring diagram...maybe it's a blown fuse or the connection between OBD port and BSI is broken...it's best to know the chassis number before we get started
for all of you that are asking for help, please also post the VIN when we are talking about a car, so I can find out what type of car is it.
thanks!

welcome to dk
suggest vin's to be posted in pm's only a suggestion
if smoke is coming out through the airfilter than you sure have a timing problem. check the timing, maybe it's off one, two or more teeth, this is probably the fault...
if timing is ok, than a compression test should be carried out in order to find out if the valves are sealing proper the combustion chamber.
please let me know what you have discovered!
check continuity between
pin 7 / 40 pins black connector BSI and
pin 11 / OBD port
if continuity is ok and you are able of diagnosing other ECU's like engine, steering, abs, etc, then most probably it's a diagnose tool problem ( you said that it's a clone )
if continuity is not ok, then first check the 10 pins grey connector behind the glove box. if everything is ok there, I would strongly suggest to drive a wire all the way from OBD port to BSI, between the pins listed above, and then try again.
I am 90% positive that the K line is broken between OBD and BSI.
Please let me know what you have found!
just a quick update it was the scanner not working proprely, and the ecu still never showed up with the new scanner so i removed the ecu and did a reflow and its now came back to life, thanks
any new problems?
