Not quite sure what a 2MF engine is as never heard of this but is this the PSA diesel engine used on Boxers from around 2016?
If so Have you timed the high pressure fuel pump properly? this is a known problem if the pump is not set correctly & causes the belt to get damaged after around 5000 miles after an engine replacement. When the belt went the second time has the belt broken or just teeth stripped off it? Most of the time if this is the issue it strips around 5-10 teeth off the belt.
People mistakenly think that the pump does not need timed on this engine but it does for balancing reasons. The camshaft pulley has to be set to the pump timing position which is not the same as the normal valve timing position. 2 dots then need to be aligned on the pump before it is refitted.

so for reference purposes, and future reading of this thread can you
get the crossed out image, set puelly in that position and fill the hole with concrete?

or are you saying you fit the belt as per uncrossed diagram, set pulley to crossed out
section, then screw t’ pump t’ marks?

If removing & re fitting timing belt or setting valve timing you use image B.
You only peg the pulley as in image A if you are removing & re fitting the high pressure fuel pump which is located on the opposite end of the camshaft. When it is set in the pump timing position the flywheel peg wont go in.
This is from the instructions for replacing the pump, it shows both sets of timing marks to reiterate not to us the 'normal' timing settings.
