    Default Unable to delete channels

    Hi.
I have installed the excellent DK 1.1 image on my 550c and I am trying to organise my channel list.
I used Bruteforce UK and I got several channels which are not transmitting anymore so I delete them but, when I turn the DB on again, they are still there!
    What am I doing wrong?

The image automatically scans for channels that are not in the services file. If it finds one, it adds it and puts an exclamation mark at the start of the name.

    To disable the auto scanning...

Menu > Setup > Expert Setup > Disable services updates

Put a tick at that then reboot the box.

    Wow, that was quick!
    Thanks Devilfish and scuba.
What about the ~~~~ channels? I have locked them and I thicked the "hide locked channels" but they still appear on the "all channels" list albeit with a lock next to them.
Can I remove them from the All channels list but keep them in their bouquet?
    Thanks

There's a 'hide locked services' option in the Parental Setup menu.

    Hi
You don't need to unplug the box just switch it to standby using the remotes power button. It seems unplugging the box is stupid and has known to cause startup problems corrupting the software and sometimes makes the box inopperative, unless you goto standby first
