Default HU39 Mercedes SL 1994 AKL

    Hi guys,

i got a hu39 doorlock here, customer have no keys. I tried to dismantle the lock to look for the cuts but i think i need a lishi for that.

Is there a way to dismantle the lock without a key? Is the lishi hu39 good for that specific lock?

Yes, HU39 worf perfect with this lock. But be aware, that door light might not be enough to create fully working key because in door lock there are like 7-9 wafers (half wafers) and complete set is 16 wafers. But you might be lucky as me llas time when I got 7 wafers, I managed to put it properly in instacode and there was only 1 combination. But usually there should be like 10 possibilities or more if there are so many missing wafers

I would say yes but probably there are some old fashion locksmiths over there (like rapidlocksmith) who can pick it using standard, old fashion picks or some other method (drilling holes to push wafers) etc. Generally you need to rotate the plug to be able to remove it and how you do it, it's up to you. Of course Lishi is the best method

The guy said the car is for an export to usa. Before there was only a key without remote, no transponder. Thats what the insurance will pay.

if you do not have lishi then you can open one groove in each side (on the back big diameter position where waffers places end) from there you can insert straight metals to push waffers down and turn lock

Did hu39 just last week. Lishi door, impressioned rest of cuts out of ignition, included cuts in 8th positions, It's not impossible, just hard and time consuming. 2L, 3L, 6R, 8R&8L need to be filled from ignition to complete key.

Had a EU version of this a while back.
    Non remote.
    Original key.
    Car start OK.
But maybe it was an import, from long time ago.

There are tvo little parts which breaking cilindar to go out without key. With hamer this parts will be broken and you can remove cilindar out without working key. This parts have this function only. All other will be functional.
Left lock at something where cilindar can go down. In hool put shift how will not damage hool. Between excentar (part of case where goes spring) and top of cilindar put screwdriver or similar how will not be broken bu hammer. One time midle strong with hammer and your cilindar will go out. Ats all.

Thanks rokibar, but i have no repair parts for this lock. So this sounds a bit too risky for me.

trust rokibar, i take it out the same way. The w124 is the same. Put a round pipe in the mouth of the tube so that the plastic side is not crushed. Use a hard plastic hammer to hit the back of the tube. prevents swelling.

If I understand this right. I take a hammer and beat the lock and the cylinder will get out. Nothing will break? Wafers will not fall apart?

    Only beat in this direction?
