I own a Q7 3.0 TDI - it already has the auxilliary heater factory installed, but in MMI in only have an option to switch between "automatic" and "off"... Is there a way to make it timer/remote operated.
I want to activate this timers.

if you can program it from mmi, your auxiliary heating it's active! maybe you want to change work mode...

In your case the heater is used as an additional heater to help the main and only works if the low outside temperature and engine running. It has no timer, and an immediate start, but it is possible to install remote start.

There was also an issue with the heater mode, if it is heating only the cabin or both the cabin and the engine.

well somtime its litle complicatd than only enable in sw..some Q have heater as only suport to heating when engine work..IF you like to transfer this cand of heater to work like park heater you will need somee aditional hardware..like coolant pump..like aditional drive for cabin A/C system.. about yust sw search and download thermotest ..sw from webasto company..you can conect to heater via any K interface..even in simpliest form.. Yes. Post autoscan We will se what u have. Even if u have STANDHEIZUNG can be without telestart Receiver. this remote what u have is for old T60. VW from last few years (since I know from 2005) gonna use T80 T90 and T91 telestart. Only remote control T70 T80 T90 can be program. Older one unfortunatelly no. You few years old Q7 have definatelly T90 of course if was installed.
