Default Mercedes C-class W205 mileage correction problem

    Hello.
    I have a Mercedes C-class W205 2015.
The dashboard was around 11.000km and I wanted to change it to 9000km.
Instead of writing 9000km I accidentally wrote 90.000km.

I could not decrease the mileage, only increase it.

I understand that I need a can filter, BUT.

If I install the can filter and decrease the mileage to 9000km, what happends if I remove the can filter?
Will the mileage show 90.000km or will it show the original mileage of 11.000km?

Because what I understand is that the mileage is also saved in the ignition?
Is the original 11.000km saved there and will it show that or will it show the new value of 90.000km?

What do you recommend me to do?

I want the mileage to show the original value if I remove the can filter, not the new mileage of 90.000km.

    Thank you.,

From your qustion it seems you are a beginner, better this time pay someone to do job with change MCU/No filter

in the mean time you can learn how it works

    Hello.

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I am a beginner, (but im trying to learn) I have mostly done mileage corrections only through OBD, and it worked fine all of the times.
    This time it didn't.

Do you know the answer to my question?

There is no one doing these jobs anywhere close to me unfortunately..

A solid idea but expensive is set dash to desired value and code a new eis. Then dash will update eis. I had to do this one time that someone's eis miles increased mysteriously after a factory scan. Just don't forget to set dash first before installing new eis.

Thought about this also, but costs around 1400$ for a new eis here :/

a 6 year old mercedes with only 9k?... (sounds wierd. maybe the car actually had 90k, and you want to know how to lower mileag in eis.. :P)

anyway. if you dont want to buy new eis, only option is a obd-blocker to block km in eis.
    NO Selling Please !!

Is there any way to correct mileage in EIS?
Is there any tools who does it?

If not, can I buy a used EIS and install it? Or it has to be a new one?

    Thank you.
