    Default VW Phaeton - Kessy dump change

    Hi,

    I have VW Phaeton 2008 with total dead kessy and it is not possible to read old eeprom (eeprom is without legs)

    So I have new (used) kessy and I read immo data from engine ECU (EDC17CP04). So is it possible to update dump with data from ECU?
    I dont have any kessy dump edit which allow to update all immo data.

    here is ECU immo data and Kessy backup dump is attached:
    VIN=WVWZZZ3DZ88003839
    IMMO ID=VWX3Z0G3689869
    CS=CE 14 DB 51 9C 29 00
    MAC=64 5D DD 17
    Config=37 E5 54
    PIN=53038
    Immo Type="IMMO 4"
    Immo Status="Learned"

    thanks for help

    Full immo data from ECU is not enought?

    Can I leave original dump in new KEssy and go to adapt to the car by PINs? Or I need virgin to the kessy?

    I think I have seen some video, a while back.
    Where the person, solder small wire's. To the damaged eeprom.
    (I think the person used a small grinder, to get better access. To the solder points on the damaged eeprom).
    And solder also the wires, to the PCB board eeprom location.

    Since its Conti kessy.
    No eeprom direct read possible, only on the older version Siemens.

    You should use:
    VVDI Prog read by cable, soldered to the PCB.

    And then open the dump, only in VVDI2.
    Then you should have a result.

    You don't have full immo in ECU, only 6 bytes from CS. 7th byte is in key, kessy and ESCL.
    Without 7th byte you will not be able to start the car.
    However for Continetal Kessy i know only 2 persons who are able to decrypt/encrypt eeprom in order to see/modify immodata

    Why the CS from ECU has 7 bytes?

    When i use FVDI for editing eeprom from continental kessy I see corect VIN, SKZ and info about keys. I see PIN but I donīt know if I can use it for adaptation kessy to the car.

    Don't fool yourself about decrypting Continetal Kessy with a FVDI.
    And last byte 00 from ECU is not a valid byte

    So, is it possible to decrypt PIN from continental KESSY dump?

    So, what I have to do? Make virgin kessy (dump in this thread) and make adaptation in VW (online) or is there any chance to adapt this use kessy to the car with out online access?
    I have working key from the car

    Hello, vopi !
    How did you solve this? I have exactly the same situation.
    Continental Kessy completly demaged by water. Not readable by VVDI-Prog.
    I have 93C86 EEprom dump, but I understand it is useless.
    Also, I have valid key. Not yet the ECU dump, but planned.

    Does anyone know how to adapt a new (used) Continental Kessy?
    Is it possible to adapt a Siemens Kessy in place ?
