    Default improving compact garden soil

    Hi

What would you recommend to do to the garden soil that is way too compact?

Read that compost might help improve the soil structure

    Any other idea?

    thanks

compost is great for that, it will improve drainage and airate the soil, a lot of garderners mix their spent planter/basket etc compost into their soil.

you could also mix some Perlite in with soil, it allows for better drainage, etc

Thank you all. I tried just that i added compost to the soil after asking a friend to dig out the soil with a JCB. It was just too hard to plant any trees. I'll see the results in a few months
