@drivergabriel, the key if made by Mercedes Germany will work perfectly well but if you use AK500 or any other, it will not engage the gear system as part of the key codes are stored in the 722.9 transmission system.

What you need to program key's in W164/X164/W221 :
1. put key hash'es in EZS - possible only for "old" 164 EZS based on S12 motorola/freescale MCU, but after 2006/6 NEC V850 (palermo,havana, cuba, milano mask sets) used in EZS - we haven't solution's for this CPU reprogramming - only replace and then personalize with "orange" key...
2. put key hash'es in engine ECU (ME 9.7, Delfi CDI5 ....) or "renew" and then personalize and make SCN with "online" , code injector's in CDI, learn another functions.....
3. put key hash'es in 722.9 gear control module - drain oil from gearbox, remove EHS (elektro-hydraulic system module) , dismount gear control module, try to open it and "renew" and then personalize and make SCN coding with "online", or replace to new one and personalize/SCN it.
4. put key hash'es in ISM (Inteligent Servo Module) - remove ISM from gearbox, try to open it - write hash'es to CPU (ST10F269) or "renew" to virgin state or mount new ISM and then personalize,make SCN coding (online only), learn servo functions....
5. get new or used keys and write previously generated dump's.

Its difficult and takes too much time.

Yes its till now impossible to hack new NEC MCU in new EIS modules. Even changing mileage is pain in the ass and needs filters.
But first models W164 have still 9S12.

How do you do it? I opened a few and its Hybrid tech inside. couldnt find any SPI/I2C/Microwire inside. Its all inside MPU. Do you have any Dev pack for this?
But now i know its possible ,i will continue experimenting...
