Default QUESTION ABOUT IMMO TYPES OF GOLF MK5 DASHBOARDS

    Hello everyone!

I'm planning to upgrade my dashboard from a minidot model to a maxidot one but from what i've read on various forums i found out that the mk5 Golf has two generations of Immobilizers on it ( IMMO 4 and IMMO4c ). The MY for my car is 2004 so i think that i have IMMO 4 on my dashboard. After a VCDS scan i have:

    VAG number: 1K0 920 860 L
    Component: KOMBIINSTRUMENT VDD 3350
    Coding: 0001101
    Workshop: WSC 00011 888 96745
    VCID: 3169A3C4A82952C728-8064

On the internet i found the maxidot dashboard with the label from the picture ( 1K0920871BX ). I did some research and found dashboards with the same PN that are manufactured before the transition date between IMMO generations (31.05.2006 from what i found out). Will i encounter any problems if i try to adapt it to my car using VAG Can Commander ( i managed to copy the IMMO data from my current cluster using it )?And also can you tell me what features can be activated on it?

    Thank you in advance!

I think it„s possible with SVCI to transfer the IMMO data
