Default Citroen C2 - dead electrics - No power to locks, interior light, ignition et al.

I have a Citroen C2 that was left for a few days and on return to the car the central locking was dead along with everything else.

Fortunately the drivers door could be opened using the key but the passenger door is still deadlocked.

All the electrics are dead, no dashboard display, lights, etc. so checked the battery and that is fine (reads 13v).

The car did have this happen once before and whilst tracing the wires with a multimeter it corrected itself. but I never identified the cause of the electrical failure.

I've checked that although the electrics are dead, there is power getting through to the main fuse .
Also, when I connect the battery there is a single bleep coming from inside the car. Nothing is displayed, there is just a this single bleep when reconnecting the battery - that's the only sign of life!

Any ideas or help appreciated :-)

As it just bolts in and doesn't need a code, I'll get one with the same part no. 9659741780 and try it. Thanks

PSA cars reputed for that. Might be a loose connection too. Cause you said it was fixed while trying to source the problem once. Check the ground. Any trace of water ingress?

    A wiring diagram will help

No water ingress, everything is very clean indeed. I've checked the negative terminal to ground on the engine and the body, so the earth straps must be ok. I have ordered a used BSM fuse box, just to eliminate that as the cause. I have followed the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual. but the manual doesn't have wire colour code descriptions, so not very useful when trying to trace the wires!

It's the decode of the wire letter coding I'm after. So when the wiring diagram labels them (e.g. BN, VT, WH, BE, etc,) I can tell what colour they correspond to ( e,g, BN = Brown).

Thanks Rafal, does this mean I should ignore the colours used for the wires?

Just swapped the Fuse box with a working one, but it made no difference. Still just gives a single beep when the battery is reconnected - and no display, interior light or anything else. :-(
