Reply With Quotei have the same issue about prius, it has a counter, if it is more than XX, it wont program on a car, i dissembled the key and found some strange IC's any thoughts?

Toyota Smart Key inside chip programming?
Does anybody know what kind of programmer is suitable for reading and writing the chip inside the Toyota Smart Key (keyless go system)? Trying to erase and reprogram the data inside the smart fob like those of the benz ir smart key (using nec programmer).
I will upload the photos of the chip capture from a Toyota Smart Key fob. Thanks

i found that u can add previously used keys after doing smart key ecu reset.

Yes a used smart key can only be added into the car once smart system is reset. But in order to add key we need to use virgin new key. So until now I still don't have any solution to make a used smart key "virgin" again unlike Mercedes key with NEC chip we can renew the NEC chip.
