Default Smart 451 CDI clutch actuator.

Does anyone have a scrap one that they can look at to tell me if there should be a spring clip holding the push rod ball end to the quadrant. I have just replaced one and pulled the old one apart. Everything works as it should apart from there being up <> down play on the rod due to it coming out of the ball on the quadrant.

There is a small slot above and below the socket that I reckon should have a spring clip but no bits fell out and I cannot find a picture anywhere on the net that shows this bit.

Is it possible that socket also fits something else that needs clip

can you get a image of manwell one or any xtube videos of them being repaired

as it was seized is it possible that clip is on the road somewhere

There is no such thing as a manual Smart Car.
There are no you tube videos of the relevant parts and no pictures either.
It wasn't seized. Sometimes it worked normally and sometimes it did not. The ball was coming out of the socket.
