Have you tried cloning the original ecu to the donor ecu?
do the test it will solve the problem

have tried many times, always says ews active, have tried to re-adapt. have tried everything i can do with the small amount of knowledge i have

i think there may be an otp in it

Posted from you dumps is external eeprom .
Immo data in tricore mcu not in external eeprom memory.
And clon k-tag can't read this you need another tool for this job .

I had read in the past such off ecu with ktag, eeprom is almost empty(extended 95320 if i am not wrong...)
fortunately for me ktag write the modified file fine....

Try to find someone how is capable to read the internal eeprom, and compared with similar dump to see if is ok....
